This is the fourth annual Loose Nut Dual Sport Ride.  It is a “ride at your own risk” self-guided dual sport tour that is set up around a “basecamp”.  The basecamp location moves each year around the areas of southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky.  If you would like to ride this route at the same time other people may be riding, it always occurs on the first full weekend in November. The tour is developed by local dedicated riders.  The route can be ridden over two days.  It occurs through the back roads of the areas on gravel, paved and dirt roads viewing historical sites and eating at good local restaurants. Last year over 150 riders attended riding large adventure bikes, street legal dual sports and motorcycle sidecar combinations.  This is NOT a sponsored, organized event.  You must make your own reservations for overnight accommodations. Hotels, restaurants, food and gas stops are identified but are NOT pre-arranged or reserved. There is no fee for attending because you can ride the route at any time you wish. Typically, the basecamp has many people that attend and bring food for Saturday night that they share in a pitch in fashion, but there is no participation requirement nor fee to do so.  If you wish to see the details of this year’s ride, go to the listed link.  Links to the previous years are also included at that location.
