The Redverz (formerly Nomad Tent Company) Tenere Expedition Tent makes motorcycle camping easier, thanks to its built-in “garage,” its rugged design, and its roomy interior. If you’re ready to fit your belongings, riding gear, and yourself in a tent, while keeping your motorcycle dry and secure, the Tenere Expedition is what you need.
The Tenere Expedition integrates an outer tent shell that includes a motorcycle bay, allowing a full sized adventure touring motorcycle with panniers to be parked beneath its shelter. Park your bike inside and zip up the doors, keeping it secure and out of sight, or just use the extra space as a shady place to rest during your travels.
Designed for use in a wide variety of camping situations, it’s a three season tent that’s been tested everywhere from the 20 degree Fahrenheit (-7 degrees Celsius) conditions in the Arctic Circle to the extreme heat of the Sahara Desert. The specially designed venting system keeps air flowing to cool you off in hot weather. In wet conditions, the fully factory-sealed seams on the floor will ensure you stay dry. The hooped pole construction means it can stand up to high gusts of wind.
With sturdy anodized aluminum tent poles (with shock cords) and tough polyester construction, it can be packed up to 8x21 inches (203 x 533 mm) and is a 13 lb (8.9 kg) load that easily fits on a luggage rack. Setting up the tent is simple, thanks to its pole sleeves and clips; while you may take a bit longer the first time, set-up normally takes about 10 minutes or less (watch the video to see how).
The Tenere Expedition won’t ask you to compromise on comfort. It provides a large vestibule for campers: big enough vertically for standing upright, and with enough floor space to stow all your gear and sleep on a queen size air mattress. The tent comes with a rainfly that is meant to be pitched first – so you can erect your tent after ensuring all your stuff is in out of the wind or rain. And you’ll be able to keep your belongings organized thanks to the tent’s multiple inner pockets and hang loops.
The Redverz Tenere Expedition was designed by Kevin Muggleton, an adventure motorcycle traveler and a former member of the British military. Twenty years of experience out in punishing terrain made him realize there were others who wanted a tent that could keep a rider, his motorcycle, and gear safe. Benefit from Muggleton’s camping hardships by making sure you never experience them.
