Laser cut 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) aluminum fully protects the vulnerable rear brake master cylinder from damage. The easy-to-install guard installs in minutes using OEM bolt holes and provided flush mount hardware. Designed to match the sleek lines of the R 1200/1250 GS, the guard is available in anodized silver or black.

Awesome product!

I installed in about 10 minutes. The instructions take you step by step and it is super easy. The BMC guard looks awesome on the bike and you can choose the color that best matches your bike. Most of all if serves to provide so much more protection than the OEM plastic piece, it is sturdier than OEM, it is much less cost than competitors (not name bashing here), has more coverage than OEM, looks better than any other brake cylinder guards out there. This is a must have for adventure riding, or if you just like to customize your ride. They are very reasonably priced, made in America, and they come with the best customer service out there. Only downside, would be nice to have color match option for the blue crash bars. This girls' 2 cents...
