Playing around in the mud with my son and his friend. Nothing beats a muddy bike!

The three of us were having the time of our lives in a "questionably legal" section of South Eastern Ohio. It indicated on the GPS that we were technically on a road, but it went to hell pretty quick. Mud forced me into a puddle and fortunately, I wasn't going fast. I thought for a split second, "It could be shallow." As I slowly sunk deeper and deeper, I knew I was wrong. Once the laughing stopped, we were able to pull her out, unharmed!

Unstoppable!

Unstoppable!

Encountered a washout while trail riding along the Niagara Escarpment in Ontario Canada in October '10. It took about 1/2 hour to get the bike across the beaver pond, all the while the beast kept on running--notice the bubbles coming out of the submerged exhaust pipe! Mind you the bike is equipped with a snorkel for the air intake and rear drive breather valve.

On a trip around the Piute trail in Utah, I was caught out in a light rain near Moab. Slick Rock they say...Baaa. LOL

How often do you see a 1200GS sitting next to a trials bike during the same ride!!!!!
Atop McCain Valley, CA

Atop McCain Valley, CA

With a little initial hesitation, I took the 1200 through the dirt bike trails of McCain Valley with the boys and survived no worse for wear. Crash bars and knobbies are on order. The heads have some good scares, just lucky I didn't bust one off...

Taken at the Rawhyde adventure challenge in 2010. Top of Sugarloaf peak. Nothing better than knobbies and mud on a GS.

After a long day of rough riding, there was one section of the bike I didn't need to worry about (for once.)
