Great Product
Purchased these upper bars at the same time as the lowers and was really happy with how well they are designed and constructed. The installation was simple and all the mounting points lined up as advertised. One note, however, is that where the instructions called for simply loosening some of the body plastic so it could be “gently” pulled back to reveal the beak bolts, I ended up just taking the plastic off completely because I was afraid too much strain would be required to expose those bolts, which might have ended up causing damage to the plastics. Probably only added an extra 30 minutes of work overall, but I didn’t have to fret about over stressing the plastic and causing damage that would have been expensive to fix. Great product and worth all the money spent!

Upper bars that work - period
Same type of tolerances and workmanship on this as the other protection arts for the r1200GS LC. They are also prime real-estate for mounting fog lights - right under the beak is perfect. The installation is very involved but follow the directions and you will be fine. Its also a great chance to learn whats under the plastic of your bike. ONE thing to take notice- if you are reinstall the headlight protection- do this BEFORE you instal these bars. You will need to be extremely creative if done the other way. When installing the top bars, this is also a great opportunity to run wires for fog lights from the battery.
