Rotopax containers are designed to be mounted on any flat surface. The ingenious pax mount design enables you to use any pax mount with any of our containers. The pax mounts are all made of hardened anodized aluminum and B7 all thread for maximum strength.

Note: Be sure not to overtighten the pax mount as there is no need to crush the container, just tighten the mount until the container is snug.

Want to stack your RotopaX? Extensions are used when you want to stack containers on top of each other. When purchasing an extension, keep in mind that your extension size correlates with the container you will have on the base of your setup. The extensions are made of hardened anodized aluminum with B7 all thread for maximum strength.

Note: Locking pack mounts are not recommended for use with extensions.

Smart design

I installed this on top of an AltRider luggage rack for my 2013 F800GS with a 1.75 gal Rotopax. Everything fit and work great. The one concern I have (reason for only 4*) is the mounting hardware. The luggage rack on my bike is high enough for someone with an open box wrench to reach in from below and loosen the bolts holding the locking mount to the luggage rack. So even though this mount "locks" It would not take much to swipe the tank. This would be an easy fix with the use of a different fastener. The ones supplied are just too common. All engineering went into the fuel cell and mount, not the bolt.
