Backfiremoto is a free CAFE RACER / RAT BIKE / VINTAGE event held "usually" every third Wednesday of each month in Ballard , Seattle ,Washington . Held rain or shine , it often draws several hundred bikes . We focus on the Cafe racer but often see spectacular rat bikes , Dice Bobbers , Scooters , modified mopeds , survival bikes ,and of course , straight up vintage .However , All bikes are welcome .
BACKFIRE has no registrations or fees . Just show up around 5pm and spend the evening rubbernecking, shop talking and greasy hand shaking . We crank punk rock into the crowd and cigars are encouraged . We include two fine bars in the event ....." The Shelter Lounge" and the newly renovated "2Bit saloon". Both bars have an outdoor area to drink and view the interesting array of bikes that show up . Things usually dissipate as darkness falls but some linger into the late night.
